📕 Story and a Stroll (Bellevue)

  • Join a park Ranger to explore the forested Wetlands of the Mercer Slough Nature Park. Each week as we venture outside, children will be fascinated by all there is to discover and become more comfortable navigating the trail. Children will also enjoy a nature-based story connecting them to the natural world.

  • Join us on the farm to meet our newest additions! We’ll gather on our covered party pad to cozy up with our featured babies (usually a combination of bunnies, piglets and baby goats/lambs). The perfect animal experience for parents with younger kiddos, or those "kids at heart" who need some snuggle therapy. This is a more mellow animal encounter, perfect for rainy days and accommodate littles, but fun for all ages!

  • Taught by basket maker and teacher Erin Cox. Join the conversation about the incredible plants that grow here in the Pacific Northwest and explore ways to identify, gather, store and use them to create baskets and crafts that bring nature inside. Whether you live in an urban, suburban or rural setting, there are forage-able crafting and weaving materials to be found.

  • Under the guidance of local teaching artist Athena Louscher, your young artist explores their creativity with a variety of materials, and learns to build their own projects and skills. The student projects and concepts taught build and grow, with more complexity as grades increase, up to support for high schoolers looking to build portfolios and/or exploring higher-education art programs.

🖐️ ASL Story Time (Kenmore)

  • Enjoy signed stories, movement, and rhymes in a welcoming, inclusive space for d/Deaf and hard-of-hearing children and their families.

    Families are welcome to stay afterwards for 30 minutes of play time, with an interpreter available.

  • Are you interested in a weekend activity that's both fun and educational? Bring the whole family to the Lake Hills Greenbelt Ranger Station for a ranger-led walk! 🐦 Who’s that Bird? (Bellevue)

  • Fly in this month to learn the who's who and what's what of our local bird species. We'll learn some new feathered friends, explore the dangers of migration, and participants will choose their favorite bird for an art piece to be displayed at the Lewis Creek Visitor Center. Ages 5-10 with accompanying adult(s). Preregistration required for children and adults.

🐐 Guided Goat Walk (North Bend)

  • Join us for a walk on the wild side as we explore the Tollgate Farm Park loop trail. You'll be accompanied by one of our four-legged farmyard friends and a zookeeper guide. Spice up your family stroller outing, or plan a unique date with our resident goats, sheep, and alpacas.
