Here's your weekly roundup of the most fun, family friendly events happening around the city this weekend. Your kids will thank you. Eventually.

Rosie pros will be on-site from 5–7pm. Rosie will set up a kids zone so that they can play happily while their vetted Rosie pros handle the kids and you can hang with the other dads - all under the same roof but enjoying the night at your own paceactually zone out and build in peace.

Sessions at 4–6pm or 6–8pm. No kids required — but they're welcome (ages 3+)

Friday - May 15

  • Your child will have the opportunity to meet Bluey, take photos, and enjoy playtime in the sand.

  • Price: $30 per child

🚙 Box Car Drive In (Kirkland)

  • Preschoolers will turn a box (no larger than 2x3 feet) into their dream car with the help of their parent. Craft supplies will be provided. Participants are responsible for bringing their own box.

  • Price: $25 per child

  • Drop-in indoor play for toddlers at Issaquah Community Center, 7–11:30am — a long open window for families who want a morning out with little ones. Soft play and open space in a supervised environment.

  • Price: $2

  • Join us for this enchanting story of Roger and Hammerstein’s Cinderella. Come ready to sing and dance with us while we watch the impossible become possible in this classic family musical.

  • Price: $13

  • A structured weekly class for babies who are sitting, crawling, and starting to get into everything — created in partnership with a play therapist, pediatric physical therapist, and parent support specialists.

🚲 Bike Everett Festival (Everett)

  • Everett Transit hosts the City’s annual “Bike Day” on the third Friday of May. We celebrate our biking community and bring cyclists of all levels together to encourage the growth of Everett’s biking infrastructure. Games, bike safety checks, raffle prizes, biking maps, and more are available from Bike Day partners!

  • Price: free

  • Crossroads Bellevue hosts free live performances at the indoor Market Stage every Friday evening, 7–8:45pm. All ages, no tickets, and you can grab dinner at the food court or nearby restaurants while the music plays.

  • When the weather keeps us indoors, Indoor Playtime offers an easy way for kids to move, play and burn energy in a safe, welcoming space. This drop-in program is designed for active play and social time.

Saturday - May 16

  • Join us at Samena’s Open House for a fun-filled day! Take a tour of the facilities, enjoy a complimentary trial of the Club, and keep the kids entertained with crafts and bouncy houses. Groove to live music from our DJ, treat yourself to a Voodoo Doughnut, or grab a tasty taco from Sammy’s food truck.

🛻 Big Rigs on the Plaza (Sammamish)

  • Come explore vehicles while interacting with community helpers to discover how they keep our city safe, clean and FUN-ctioning!! The event is free. Bouncy houses, parachute drop, and face painting will be available for the kids!

  • Price: free

  • On a beautiful day, Jane’s mother encourages her to explore her neighborhood with her stuffed monkey, Jubilee. Little does she know she’ll have a grand adventure filled with worried chickens, hungry squirrels and friendly puppies all while discovering the power of learning through observation and analysis.

🐛 Slimy Critters (Bellevue)

  • Discover the wiggly, crawly creatures that thrive beneath logs, leaves and soil. Participants explore outdoor habitats before heading indoors to create a craft inspired by their favorite slimy critter.

🚂 Free Mini Train Rides (Skykomish)

  • Come up to beautiful, historic Skykomish for a day of affordable family fun. Hop aboard one of our scale mini trains and enjoy a train ride for the whole family — ride as many times as you like!

  • Price: free

  • Bring your kiddos to the Kent Bike Rodeo so they can take part in fun activities, learn about bicycle safety and more! The event features an interactive skills course for kids to improve bike handling and traffic safety skills.

  • Anglers ages 2-14 can join us for a free fishing derby. May 16th from 8am-1pm at Gissberg Twin Lakes Children may bring their own equipment or use the equipment provided. Fun prizes will be raffled off during the event.

  • Join BelArts Ballet for our pay-what-you-can Creative Ballet class for 3-4 year olds! Free and reduced price access to this programming is made possible by support from 4Culture and City of Bellevue.

Sunday - May 17

  • Join us for a tour of Holly Farm! On the first and third Sunday of each month, we welcome a limited number of guests to tour our farm and learn more about us. You’ll get to see our historic barn, meet some horses, peek into our stables, and see riding lessons happening in our huge arena. And when the tour is done, spend time petting and feeding our donkeys, chickens and more small animals.

🏒 Try Hockey Free (Snoqualmie)

  • Try Hockey for Free events provide children between the ages of 4 and 17 a free opportunity to experience playing hockey for the first time. Coaches will be on the ice to assist your child in learning the basics. Kids do not need any previous skating or hockey experience.

  • Hop into the world of rabbits and discover how these lively creatures share our parks and trails. Explore rabbit habitats along the trail and learn how rabbits fit into our ecosystems. Wrap up with a playful bunny-themed craft!

  • To celebrate it's grand re-opening at the Retreat in Bothell, British Swim School will host a free Water Safety event on May 17, inviting families, children, and community members to explore the new facility and experience everything the program has to offer.

  • (VC)Bynum Arts & Education, in collaboration with Bellevue College Umoja Scholars and AARTH, invites you to the Sawubona Festival! This day of celebration will feature live performances of dance, music, and poetry, vendors, food, and a Q&A panel of community members.

  • Sensory Time is a special Sunday program for families with children on the autism spectrum, children with sensory processing disorders and children with other special needs. During Sensory Time, Imagine Children’s Museum provides these families exclusive access to the North side of the Museum between 9 – 11 a.m.

  • Join us for the largest weekly car gathering in the US, comprised of the most exotic and very rare cars, drawing owners and spectators together for mutual enjoyment of all things car related.
